Standard 1.3 - Access to Information

Field experience enabled utilization of various media within the library.

 

Standard 1.4 - Stimulating Learning Environment

Field experience encouraged collaboration between faculty and media specialists to achieve integrated learning.

 

Standard 2.3 - Information Literacy Curriculum

Field experience reinforced the role of the media specialist as a research expert to ensure various media are utilized by students and faculty in the research process.

 

Standard 3.2 - Instructional Partner

Lessons taught to classes reinforced the research skills needed by students.  Dewey Decimal Powerpoint shared with teachers to further enhance research skills using the media center.

 

Standard 4.3 - Comprehensive and Collaborative Strategic Planning and Assessment

Field experience confirmed that leading edge technology and the appropriate skills to utilize and teach those technological advances are required in order to run an efficient and modern media center.
