Standard 4.1 - Managing Information Resources: Selection, Organizing, Using

Research encouraged analysis and evaluation of techniques pertinent to collections that support multicultural diversity. Development of collection plan supported analysis of policies that ensure flexible/equitable access to resources and provided support of intellectual freedoms via challenge criteria.  Critique of existing collection plans allowed analysis of effectiveness of current policies, procedures, and operations.

 

Standard 2.1 - Knowledge of Learners and Learning

Standard 2.2 - Effective and Knowledgeable Teacher

Standard 2.3 - Information Literacy Curriculum

Research and development of the Dewey Decimal presentation demonstrated an understanding of the techniques most beneficial for the age group.  Materials were covered in such a manner as to impart learning in a fun and exciting manner.
