Standard 1.3 - Access to Information

Lab Experience visits enabled the utilization of various media realms within the library.

 

Standard 1.4 - Stimulating Learning Environment

Lab Experience visits encouraged collaboration between faculty and libraries to achieve the goals of integrated learning.

 

Standard 2.3 - Information Literacy Curriculum

Library visits reinforced the role of the media specialist as  research subject matter expert and to ensure all media forms are utilized by students in the research process.

 

Standard 3.1 - Connection with the Library Community

Lab experience visits confirmed that the relationship between school media specialists, educators, and public library staffs can be symbiotic and mutually beneficial.

 

Standard 4.3 - Comprehensive and Collaborative Strategic Planning and Assessment

Library visits confirmed leading edge technology and the skill sets to utilize and teach those technological advances are required in order to run an efficient and modern research centered library.
